February 12 - Day 12

Boy, there were all kinds of noises all night long!

Work
Tried to do some, but the Internet was taking FOREVER! I decided to wait. It poured again for a few minutes.

Chedraui
I walked to get some more water, pop, and milk, but forgot the milk! When I was in the store, a client called me and I never realized before how loudly they play the music in there.

I put the goods away and then went into town. It was muy caliente today.

La Cueva Del Chango
I walked along 5th Avenue all the way to La Cueva Del Chango for lunch. It still gets a thumbs up from me. I love the atmosphere and the people who go there (except there weren't any really cute locals today) and of course, the food! Today I tried the Molletes, which I've always wanted to try. The waitress thought it was funny that I took a picture of my food.

La Playa
I walked to the beach entrance by Shangri-La and walked back towards the ferry dock.

There were a lot of topless women (when topless is not allowed) and they were not the women who should be topless!

The fishermen were cutting up fish for the Pelicans and the Sea Gulls.

La Lavenderia
On the way back to the condo, I picked up my laundry. It was only 45 Pesos. They do a good job there. They even iron everythng. A guy was complaining that their prices were higher than another place, but I've seen those other places and sometimes you get what you pay for!

I did wash my bathing suit myself because it's recommended to be hand washed anyhow.

Harley
When I spoke to my mom, she said that Harley gets sadder every day. I will be home soon Harley and then I'll take you for a ride in the car to get some Frosty Paws. Have fun with Sydney and Sam and behave!

Work
I tried again. The Internet was still moving way too slow. While I was waiting for pages to load, I walked up and down the stairs.

Rooftop
When I decided to give up for a while, I went to the rooftop and did my exercise routine. I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed it. At least I didn't subject them to my dance routine!

Even though I've gained some weight, I feel so good since I've been here. I swear that I have Seasonal Affective Disorder. It's so nice to get out in the sunshine and walk around and get dressed every day. Not sure that I like being home every day. I've been doing some much walking ad it's very energizig.

Then, I relaxed in the sun for a little while on one of the lounge chairs. It felt so good.

Ready to Go Out Again
I came in and started getting ready to meet Annemarie at Jorge's store. She hadn't seen it yet. Jorge was still at the airport picking up his family, but Mikayla was holding down the fort.

Yaxche Maya
We went to Yaxche for dinner. It's Mayan cuisine. Annemarie loves it, and she had a Gift Certificate. As always, she left Alfonso at home. LOL Afterwards, we walked around 5th and she's a shopaholic like I am. We are so much alike, it's scary. Then, shedrove me back to the condo.

Work
Still a slow Internet connection, but I did manage to respond to some requests.

E-mail From Mom
Mom e-mailed me to ask if I received her voicemail? She knows that I am not able to receive voicemails, so I don't know why she left one. I swear that I am Mr. Cellophane Man (if you have seen the Play "Chicago," then you'll know what I'm talking about)! She said that my bank called and cancelled my debit card because someone accessed my account at their bank. It had to be someone back home because I haven't even used my debit card since I've been here.

Garbage Men
It's 12:35 p.m. and they are just picking up the garbage. How strange!

News
I just checked the news on the Internet before calling it a night, and couldn't believe that there was another plan crash in New York....A Continental flight that crashed into a house. What is going on? Aunt Char, they needed Captain Scully!
