Day 3 - February 3
I woke up at 7:30 a.m. again because I had an appointment at the Iberostar Tucan at 10:00 a.m. I ate breakfast at the condo before heading out.
The shower had hot water, and I directed the shower head towards the wall as much as I could. It was better, but not great.
Iberostar Tucan
What can I say! This was my first All-Inclusive resort and it is an awesome place. It's 11 years old now and I wanted to see if it still lived up to my expectations because I refer so many clients there. Even if the place was crumbling down, the people are so amazing! But, don't worry!...It's not! It's as beautiful as ever.
I chatted with Mario Bernegger, who helps me with all of my clients. He's from Vienna an Pauline from Mexico City. I enjoyed a sparkling lemonade with them.
Can't wait to stay there again! Mom, you will love it!
Playacar
I'm a bit disappointed that they opened a Starbucks in Playacar. It's losing some of it's authenticity.
Every other house is more beautiful than the next!
While I was walking back to Playa Del Carmen, the man in front of me had a motorized wheelchair because he has MS, but he travels all over the world with it. I think that's what my dad needs. It would make him more mobile. I asked him about it and he said they bring it on the airplane and it's great.
Lunch
I brought a sandwich with me and ate it down by the ferry dock and fed the pigeons. Then, I bought some coconut for the walk home.
Panaderia
I stopped at a popular bakery called Pan Playa Del Carmen, but I like the selection at Chedraui better. Can't wait for Bryn to arrive so that I can eat some of it!
Urban Suites
I came back to rest my feet and do some work. Then, I read my book and laid out in the sun on the rooftop. It was very relaxing.
